Meet the Team at Intelligent Service

At Intelligent Service, our team works together to support safe, comfortable homes throughout Mount Prospect and the Northwest Chicago area. Each person plays a clear role in planning, performing, and reviewing the work that happens in and around our customers’ homes.

We organize our team so that field technicians, technical leadership, and office staff stay aligned. This structure helps us provide consistent communication, thoughtful recommendations, and careful workmanship on every visit.

Field Leadership and Technical Guidance

Our field leadership group focuses on the quality and safety of the work completed in customers’ homes. This team sets standards, supports training, and gives technicians clear direction in the field.

Main Technical Advisor

The main technical advisor oversees how work happens in the field and supports team members on complex jobs. This role connects day-to-day service with long-term standards for safety, comfort, and reliability.

Neal Deacon, Main Technical Advisor
Neal leads the technical side of our operations. He takes responsibility for everything that occurs in the field and helps our technicians maintain the knowledge they need to complete work in a careful, proficient way. Neal also reinforces our value of “think twice, act once,” which guides how we approach safety, planning, and problem-solving on every job.

Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Technicians

Our technicians visit homes across the region to perform plumbing, heating, and air conditioning work. They arrive prepared to explain what they recommend, how they will complete the work, and what homeowners can expect from the process.

Within this group, some technicians take on senior responsibilities, such as mentoring newer team members, sharing practical tips, and offering support on unusual situations in the field.

Senior Plumbing Technician

The senior plumbing technician role supports both customers and fellow technicians. Senior team members often help diagnose challenging issues, share what they have learned over the years, and stay available when others in the field request a second opinion.

Jim Simon, Plumbing Technician
Jim works as a plumbing technician at Intelligent Service. He has worked in plumbing for more than 16 years and brings that experience to each service call. When he comes across a difficult situation, he can turn to what he calls his “band of brothers” on the team for added insight and support. Jim’s day-to-day work reflects our focus on safety and clear communication in customers’ homes.

Team Culture and Collaboration

Every member of our team contributes to a culture of respect, reliability, and neighborly care. We plan jobs carefully, keep safety at the center of our decisions, and treat each home with attention and care.

Our technicians do not work in isolation. They stay in close contact with the main technical advisor and with one another, which allows them to share knowledge and practical insight from years in the field. This teamwork supports consistent service across different homes, days, and seasons.

Office staff and dispatch support the field teams by coordinating visits, confirming details, and keeping communication clear. While you may not meet each person in person, their work helps each appointment run smoothly from the first call to the completed job.

    Edgar from Intelligent Service was the best plumber I've ever had. He was kind, courteous, and a great problem solver. As with most repair jobs, once you open that wall, a million unexpected things go wrong. Edgar solved every problem and did so in a way that kept the job from turning into a massive beast of torn out tile or cut-outs behind cabinets, blah blah blah. I would fully recommend Intelligent to anyone with an old home that perhaps was not updated correctly in the past- and needs a creative thinker to solve your weird plumbing problems.

    Also- the person who called me to schedule everything and check on times was very well spoken, kind, and competent- something I unfortunately have found lacking in many repair service companies of late. So kudos to the office side of this company as well!
